I enjoyed reading that (not sure if you felt the same writing it ;) - I often go through the same hoops to come up with a title for a photo or photo series (heck, even the name of my substack). Since English is not my first language, Somewhere to Be sounds easier to say and remember, but Someplace to Be is fine as well :) Good luck with your book!
Names can be so tough, we are always struggling with names. I think it took us a year (once Diana and I decided we wanted to create a joint something or other) to come up with PappasBland. It was ridiculous. But to clarify, is 'Someplace to Be' replacing 'Last Night at the Bus Stop' as the title of the project, or just the book? Either way, I like it.
Someplace to Be is just the title of the book. The larger project is still LNATBS, though I think I’m done shooting it.
All of the buses have been phased into a newer more efficient bus, with terrible harsh lighting, and I just don’t love the way they look anymore.
I wonder if working as a team like you do with Diana would make these choices easier or harder? There have been times when I wish someone else would just tell
I think generally I would say titles come a little easier with there being two of us as we can bounce ideas around and work together to rule out the bad ones. We do have a new naming dilemma though – our future studio space is proving to be a tough one.

Thanks Ronald! Yeah, it’s difficult enough in my own language, I’d have a very hard time in a second.

Hey Tom,
Thanks, I’m glad you like it!

me the name of the thing.

Just wonder whether buses are actually places to be… sorry if I also suggest another as “never went so far”
Hmm, Never Went So Far is good.
Perhaps I’m good in titles after so many dummies 🤨You can use it if you wish
Why don't you just call it: "A woman reading my substack on the bus"?
I've had worse ideas.
