I guess I shouldn’t expect any free gear to review anytime soon.

That’s one of the most honest camera reviews I’ve ever read 😄.

A camera that makes beeps and boops and prints out a sticker?!? My kid would LOVE THIS. There would also be stickers all over my house.

I take great comfort in your "Seems OK I guess?" assessment of cameras - reading your post gives me license to zone out and ignore camera review videos that Tom puts on from time to time. I've always found them annoying but maybe it's just that I don't care.

I was just thinking that I wanted to buy some kind of a small printer so I could make little prints of the pictures I take on my walks. Maybe this is the way to go? Great review!

Back around 2002 I got a $39(?) digital camera called a SiPIX. My first digital camera.

The picture quality was awful but that was part of the joy. But the software to get the pictures into the camera made it really hard to use/keep pictures. And Lightroom wouldn't come along for another six or seven years.

I'd love to get another junky digital camera. I'd get one of these (https://www.campsnapphoto.com/ ) but the in-depth review I read said there is a lot of shutter lag--which is not the kind of 'bad' I want.

But i'm also not sure they are bad enough. I saw someone mention junk digital cameras from AliExpress so I am off to explore.

Yep. Seems ok to me. I look forward to seeing more ok results.
